Bull Sale Administration To Do List
Dear members,

Firstly good luck with your bulls sales.  It's always a busy and stressful time of year, so I hesitantly write this email as I'm aware I'm adding to your long list of 'things to do', however in order for NZ Herefords and PBB staff to market and mange your recording of your animals please remember to:

Marketing
  • Respond to the office email with your results  - we need them for the 2023 magazine
  • if you do not want, either your sale advertised or your results shared on Facebook, you must contact the office.  If we don't hear from you, we will share results
  • Equally we can only post results if we know your results, or if you have posted on your Facebook page. Make sure to tag NZ Herefords in your posts so we get alerts for your upcoming sales and results. NZ Herefords FB page now has a 'reach' (number of people who see the page) of over 4000, so it's worth tagging 'NZ Herefords' to your sales posts (see below instructions)
  • If you are still designing your catalogues and have a free page, remember to include  a NZ Hereford advert
  • Utilise Hereford magazines - they are a good marketing resource, and boxes can be collected from Canterbury, Southern Districts and South Auckland club secretaries or from the office in Feilding
  • Cups, beanies, caps, pens and pull up banners are available on request - for more detail have a look on the website
  • We are always looking for high resolution professional photos, so if there is a reporter at your sale or a professional photographer, please pass on their details.
Registry
  • If you sell any of your bulls to another registered breeder, you must complete a transfer form within 30 days from your sale date as per rule 10 of the Rules and Regulations
  • If you are waiting for DNA results, submit the transfer form and inform registry that you are waiting for results. Late fees will apply as the transfer rule is one of the most important rules, which was written to protect breeders and guarantee the integrity of the herd book.
Here's to the Herefords!

Regards
