Urgent Prayer Request

October 24, 2017

We are writing all of our partners, to ask that you all stand with us in prayer for the residency permit (visa) application for our son, Aidan.  Before we came to Slovenia, we contacted the Slovenian consulate, and asked them how we go about applying for residency permits.  They told us, that since we are religious workers, we can apply once we are in Slovenia.  So, we applied for our residency permits once we arrived, only to find out, that while there was no issue with the adult residency permits, Aidan's would be problematic.  They recently passed a law, that a person has to have had their residency permit for a year, and be approved for a second year, to be able to apply for any dependents - namely our son.  We are very thankful, Dan and Abigail's residency permits came through yesterday.  Today, we applied for Aidan's, and they didn't want to even let us, but eventually they did - saying that it would most likely be rejected.  His 3-month tourist visa will expire on November 29th, so we are really in need all of this to work out as soon as possible.

We serve a BIG God, He is bigger than all of the things that the enemy throws our way.  The easiest way for the enemy to attack us is with our family, but we will not lose hope, or back down.

Please pray for the person whose desk Aidan's application lands on.  Pray that they would see us as a family unit, that they would see how awful it would be to separate a young child from his parents, that they would have understanding and grace, and that God would soften their heart toward us.

Please don't mention this situation on our Facebook page, as it is public, and we don't want anyone searching for our names to see this information.  Thank you!

Thank You

Thank you so much for standing with us in prayer!  We know that there is power in prayer, and that God hears those who cry out to Him.  We so appreciate having the support system that we have! You are vital to our ministry here in Slovenia!

One More Request

Since we have applied for Aidan's residency permit, we have finally been issued a number for him, that we needed to enroll him in preschool.  Schools are in Fall break now, but after the holidays, he will hopefully be starting school, which will be a whole new set of challenges and adventures for him.  Please pray with us that he would make good friends, and pick up the language quickly.
