Restored fountain christened at Williamstown

A community celebration with costumed historic characters, a town crier and old-fashioned games was recently held to mark the christening of the restored historic fountain at Williamstown Cemetery.

Construction starts on GMCT's new cemetery

The construction of Melbourne’s newest cemetery recently began and GMCT was joined by Councillor Natalie Abboud from Moreland City Council for the ceremonial 'turning of the sod'.

Regenerating Campbellfield Creek
Campbellfield Creek which runs through Fawkner Memorial Park will be rehabilitated under a new partnership between GMCT and Melbourne Water. The project will improve the health of the creek environment, beautifying the area for our visitors, fostering biodiversity and creating a better habitat for wildlife, including native birds.
Reconciliation Week

GMCT acknowledges National Reconciliation Week (NRW), which runs annually from 27 May – 3 June. These dates mark two milestones in Australia’s reconciliation journey: the 1967 referendum and the historic Mabo decision.

In 2017, we reflect on two significant anniversaries in Australia’s reconciliation journey – 50 years since the 1967 referendum, and 25 years since the historic Mabo decision.

At GMCT we're delighted to be connected to our families and our communities.
