Five tips for living with grief

Have you ever wanted to help a grieving friend or loved one, but not known what to say? In partnership with the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement, GMCT has developed a range of resources to help you find the right words of comfort for your loved ones. Here we share five important ways you can look after others - and yourself - in times of grief.

Finding your ancestors - where to begin?
Delving into your family history can often uncover intriguing stories – and some surprises! Genealogy enthusiast David Down from Friends of Coburg Cemetery has some pointers on how you can start researching and documenting your own family tree.
WATCH: Community leaders talk multiculturalism
In November last year, GMCT hosted its annual meeting, which included a panel discussion titled Multiculturalism: a cemetery context. GMCT’s CEO, Jacqui Weatherill was joined on stage by some of Melbourne’s cultural and religious community leaders who shared insights into their faith’s funeral and burial traditions and answered questions about how these practices and traditions are changing in an Australian context.
