'Stepping up, reaching beyond' for a bright future
GMCT recently launched its new 2016-2021 strategic plan with the theme of 'stepping up, reaching beyond'. This exciting roadmap builds on our achievements since the establishment of GMCT in 2010 and outlines our goals and priorities for the next five years. We welcome your feedback on this plan and on how we can best honour and celebrate the lives of all members of our community.
Spring blooms at our cemeteries

The sun is out, the birds are singing and the roses at our cemeteries are about to bloom! GMCT’s horticulture team cares for over 20,000 individual rose bushes across 605 hectares, including a rare 100-year-old heritage tea rose at Coburg Cemetery. As our cemeteries blossom with spring colour, our horticulturalists have some tips to help you get the most out of your garden during the season.

Celebrating History Week

Calling all history buffs! History Week will be celebrated in Victoria from 16-23 October and we invite you join us in exploring the rich history of GMCT cemeteries. Friends of Coburg Cemetery will host 'Lawyers, guns and money', a historical walk telling tales of the famous and infamous characters buried there.

Reminder - All Souls' Day masses
All Souls' Day services will be hosted by GMCT in a range of languages and locations in October and November 2016. View the full schedule and register for your free tickets here. Tickets may also be collected from the reception of your local GMCT cemetery.

Flowers and plants are beautiful symbols of life that can take on new meanings in a cemetery context.
