Opening of the Keilor Cemetery extension

GMCT is pleased to invite you to the official opening of the Keilor Cemetery extension and provide you with an update on the availability of new graves for the community.

Keilor Cemetery has been servicing the local area since 1856, and this heritage cemetery has been nearing capacity in recent years. The extension is a major milestone, providing over 5000 new graves to meet strong community demand.

Cemeteries as emotive landscapes: GMCT CEO on talkback radio

In July, GMCT CEO Jacqui Weatherill joined 774 radio host Hilary Harper in studio for her breakfast program to talk about the role of cemeteries as emotive landscapes, offering people tranquility, recreation and the opportunity to “heal their soul”.

Following an interview in June, Jacqui again appeared on the Saturday program to reflect on how cemeteries could best meet the sensory and emotional needs of the communities they serve.
