Principal's Message

Dear McGaugh Sea Lion Families,
It is with absolute pleasure that Mr. Larson, me, and the entire McGaugh staff present Mr. Steve Miller as McGaugh’s Hero of the Heart. For the last 6 years, Steve has been fully committed and volunteered countless hours of time to McGaugh. Over the years he has spear-headed the PTA carnival, volunteered for International Culture Club Day, coordinated the first Jog-A-Thon and Color Run, orchestrated the Run Club at McGaugh & Kids Run OC, coordinated field day, lead the Book Fair and Family Fun night, acted as a member of the 5th grade activities committee, and that is just to name a few. Mr. Steve Miller personifies the spirit of giving and that is why it is with great joy and privilege that the McGaugh school staff honors him with the 2023 McGaugh Hero of the Heart Award.
Thank you, thank you to Claudia Vecchio Wille, Project Seek, and the “Event” team for a magical evening. The countless hours of volunteer time put into this event was apparent last night. From the venue, to the planning, to the theme, to the decorations, to the auction items, absolutely amazing!!! And a huge shout out to all that attended and to all that participated in the auction, McGaugh thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support for art and STEM brings programs to McGaugh that no one else has and we are grateful!
