Principal's Message

Good Morning McGaugh Families,
The message I sent on Friday via ParentSquare regarding a confirmed case of COVID-19 by a District employee that was on McGaugh's campus is a reminder to all of us of the importance of maintaining our safety protocols.
As a community, we’ve come together and have implemented safety standards that promote a healthy and safe campus. I appreciate your partnership.
The District's 2020-21 School Opening and Safety Plan outlines the criteria for continued teaching and learning on campus.  Working together provides us the best opportunity to limit exposure on campus. Limiting exposure on campus keeps teachers and students healthy, which keeps them in class teaching and learning.
Let's continue to proactively reinforce the importance of hand-washing, physical distancing, and wearing face coverings to limit the spread of coronavirus.
To that end, here are three items you should be aware of this week:

  1. Make sure your child's mask fits. Replace masks that don't fit! Make sure the mask covers your child's mouth and nose and fits snugly against the sides of your child's face without gaps.
  2. Join me on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM, for Coffee with the Principal. We'll discuss Halloween, Red Ribbon Week, and Parent-Teacher Conferences that start next week. Click Here to Submit a Question or Provide Feedback   Click Here for Link to Zoom.
  3. On Thursday, October 15, 2020, McGaugh teachers and students participated in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill. The drill went exceptionally well. We are asking for parent partnership with emergency preparedness and request that parents provide students' personal emergency kits. This request is typically made at the beginning of the school year. Please provide the kits by Friday, October 30. Click Here for Details.
That's all for now! #BetterTogether
