In this Christmas greeting from Fr. Arturo Sosa, S.J., Superior General of the Society of Jesus, he invites us to "discover, with the eyes of faith and commitment, that the Incarnation of God in Jesus, among us, opens our eyes, our hands, our hearts. With new eyes, we can see in the Child of Bethlehem the ways of liberation from selfishness and oppression."

In his Monday, December 21st homily, Fr. Yesalonia invites us, as we await the birth of the Christ Child, "to get excited, to be joyful. To look at the miracle of love and the birth of Jesus, and to identify with it in the same kinds of ways we identified excitement and joy with other experiences in our lives."

As we enter the Christmas season, it is important for us to remember that, even in these uncertain times, there is joy, hope, and inspiration to be found. And, nowhere is this inspiration better evinced than in the works of artist Lili Sanchez-Ruiz, who visited the Parish House to grace us with her moving work.

Please help the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola reach its goal of being completely barrier-free and contribute to the Your Parish, Your Home Capital Campaign!
The signature feature of the Capital Campaign project—the passenger elevator that will take visitors from East 84th Street up into the Church and down into Wallace Hall—is nearing completion and we need your help to bring it home.
Please support the Your Parish, Your Home capital campaign so that all the buildings of our parish and the activities that take place within them are accessible to everyone.

Last Sunday, the LGBT Catholics and Friends ministry hosted a socially distanced-hot cocoa and cookie exchange on our church steps. And, in keeping with the season, a festive round of "Jingle Bells" broke out.

Your collaboration and generosity as we transform lives behind and beyond the prison walls are greatly appreciated. Please keep our formerly incarcerated scholars at Ignacio House of Studies in your prayers this holiday season too. Your generosity, support, and care is a gift to us.
