Angels, Agents of Transformation
by Brian Pinter, Pastoral Associate
While the angelic might appear dramatically, most of us will be invited to receive these messengers in subtle, quiet ways. We will be touched by angels through others who enter our lives at just the right moment with guidance and wisdom. Perhaps there will be a dream that gives us clarity and new direction through arresting symbolism. The angelic might communicate through synchronicities: when we seem to encounter a certain theme, word, or image recurring everywhere, we sense that it is all more than coincidence. Deep intuitions that are impossible to ignore also serve to guide, warn, and teach us as well.

In his Monday, December 7th homily, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Fr. Hilbert sees a country that is in great need of Mary's prayers of intercession. "For we want a nation that cares about the poor and the suffering. A nation that does not run away from the body of Christ when it is in agony. We want a nation that thinks about others, not only itself. That cares for people, especially those in need. We want a nation that values the important things."

Music is a beloved tradition in our liturgies here at St. Ignatius. Through the many challenges of this year, we have redoubled our efforts to keep this tradition of music in our Masses, available to all online, and in person.
Please help us continue to serve the parish through the vital ministry of music. In these times, your support is needed more than ever.

This summer, Fr. Yesalonia announced an ambitious expansion of our livestream capabilities at the parish.
By winter, we will have the capability to livestream Sunday Mass from Church. Additionally, screens will be installed in the Church and so that pre-recorded music can be broadcast into the Church during services.
Eventually, services and events will be livestreamed from the Lady Chapel, the Church, and Wallace Hall.
To support this important initiative, please click here.
