Here are a few highlights for the month of February and beyond at FCCMP:

February vacation 1000 bag lunch challenge

What are you and the kids doing this February vacation?  How about joining the Brown Bag Brigade?!?

Here’s the scoop on the Brown Bag Brigade:  Each Wednesday FCCMP gives out 60 to 80 brown bag lunches at the Greenfield community meal to provide another meal to those in need.  Families can help by
joining the Brown Bag Brigade and delivering 10 bag lunches on February 26.  We invite kids to decorate the bags during February vacation, and you are welcome to throw in a sweet treat too!

Did you know that last year we collected and distributed over 3500 brown bags?

Where: Sunday, February 26, 4:00 to 6:00pm

When: Greenfield’s Second Congregational Church at 16 Court Square next to Greenfield Town Hall

What: 10 bagged lunches with non-perishable foods which can be stored without refrigeration.  Cans with pop-tops are especially welcome.  Lunch bag suggestions (but feel free to be creative):

  • Single serve cereal + breakfast bar + long-life milk box

  • Can of Chicken Noodle Soup + peanut butter crackers + cocoa

  • Can of tuna + Sunchips + applesauce + juice box

The many community members who made the Brown Bag Brigade so successful by donating over 3000 brown bag lunches distributed from our Greenfield meal site.
