2020 in hindsight...

What. A. Year.

It's hard to encapsulate 2020 without making a dissertation out of it. Though COVID rages on and we're still dealing with political muck, it feels like there's a silver lining being able to finally say hello to 2021.

As more productions started to come back, I found myself very fortunate to be working. I shot a couple of commercials, industrials for MacMillan and WCU, a Hallmark movie, Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming feature (can't complain about getting to see Sean Penn & Tom Waits on set), and a few tv shows. Rumor is the episode I worked on for Murder in the Heartland is airing January 26th on the ID Network. I also managed to do a Veteran's Day gig with The Harmony Dolls. It was our first singing gig since COVID, and definitely a new experience performing to people in masks. I'm glad we had the opportunity before COVID got completely out of control (again). Currently, I'm shooting a feature called "This Land," and am stoked to finally be doing a horror movie.

Vaccines & Finances

I was finally able to get my hands on an antibody test and it came back positive, so I can confirm that I did receive the actual vaccine in the Pfizer trial. The study will officially unblind my results in April, but in the meantime I'll continue to get COVID tests regularly.

Since my surival jobs have been put on lockdown, I started training to be a financial advisor as a new side hustle. I'm working with a company that does free financial plans for people, and it's pretty incredible. Like, why don't they ever teach us this in school and how do we not know about this stuff? That whole hindsight 2020 thing...(insert sly emoji). But if you're wanting to get your finances in order, it's a totally free consultation. Friend to friend, highly recommend it. #goals

Up Next

Looking forward to playing Dr. Trent in the feature film Star City Murders. Though COVID keeps pushing the start date for the film, I think it'll be well worth the wait!

Here's to a better year and I hope that you stay healthy & safe. May the time soon come when we can see each other in person and give pandemic-free hugs.
