Registration open for SJMC centennial celebration party
Alumni are encouraged to gather their friends for our delayed SJMC centennial celebration on Saturday, April 30, 5-8 p.m. in Meredith Hall:https://alumni.drake.edu/sjmc-relays-reunion. Advance registration is encouraged; see who is going to attend! Tickets cost $20 and include alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, heavy hors d’oeuvres, music and fun. A short program at 6 p.m. will include toasts to current and former SJMC faculty and staff.
Drake student finalists in SPJ contest
Three Drake students are finalists in Region 7 of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Mark of Excellence contest.
The Region 7 conference is April 8. Winners in the regional contest will advance to the national competition in September.

Are you looking for a campus job for next year? Consider becoming a student technician in the ITS Support Center. ITS Support Center student techs serve as the first line of support for campus technology and provide support to end users of computing resources on campus, including fellow students, faculty, staff, parents and alumni. Not only do student techs develop strong technology skills, but they also employ and hone soft skills like customer service, communication (both written and verbal), and get management opportunities that will help set them up for career success.
