News from the EPLO office

May

• EPLO sent a letter on the EU Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy to High Representative / Vice-President Federica Mogherini.

• EPLO submitted a contribution to the public consultation on on ‘Capacity building in support of security and development (CBSD) in third countries’.

June

• EPLO published a statement entitled 'Taking Forward the Post-2015 Peace Goal'. The purpose of this statement, which is a follow-up to the 2013 statement ‘Putting Peace at the Heart of the Post-2015 Framework‘, is to assess the extent to which EPLO’s recommendations from 2013 were incorporated into the 2030 Agenda and the accompanying Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

• EPLO published a report of the advocacy meeting entitled 'Conflict Prevention and Resolution in Latin America: Risks and Opportunities' which it co-organised with the International Crisis Group in the framework of the Strengthening Early Warning and Mobilising Early Action Project on 29-30 March in Bogotá, Colombia.

July

• EPLO published a report of the meeting entitled ‘The Colombian Peace Process: State of Play of Negotiations and Challenges Ahead‘ which it co-organised with the Norwegian Peacebuilding Resources Centre (NOREF) on Wednesday 29 June in Brussels.

August

• EPLO submitted a contribution to the public consultation on the revision of the European Consensus on Development.
