Saturday Series League Tables
Finlay updated out Saturday league tables after our Altyre South event. Sadly I didn't see the email until after I had sent out last week's news, but they are there now. Senior Saturday League Table and Junior Saturday League Table
Main league Table update
Following the two weekend events near Edinburgh the main league table has been updated. You can view it here.
Junior Grant Scheme
The Club committee has agreed that grants are available from club funds to support Junior members attendance at residential Junior Regional Orienteering Squad training tours and competitions as Juniors representing Scotland and GB. For further information see the News item on the club website ( www.mor.scot). Applications should be made to the club treasurer ( finance@mor.scot) in advance of the activity, and to meet the deadlines of either 31st March or 30th June.
Club equipment store (aka Douglas’s shed!)
Many of you will know Douglas Murray, a long standing member of our club. Douglas, now an M85, has for many years enjoyed orienteering in Moray and beyond. We have been very lucky to be able to store our club equipment in Douglas’s shed beside his house in Forres, for which we are immensely grateful. Some of you will have enjoyed chatting with him as you picked up equipment for an event.
Douglas is now planning for his next move, so the club needs to find an alternative location where we can store our equipment. Forres has been an ideal location, but we could move our equipment to another location, perhaps in the wider Forres area. The key requirement is that we can locate a shed, measuring approximately 8’ by 6’, somewhere that is easily accessible without unduly disturbing the owners of the property. The location should be secure, although we do not store expensive items such as SI controls, dibbers, batteries or computers in the shed.
Do you know anywhere? Can you offer a quiet corner where the club could locate a shed? If so, please contact either Andrew (chair (at) mor.scot) or Rob (club (at) mor.scot). Thank you.
