Happy New Year, Moravians!
Entries are now open for the Quarry Wood local event…
Burn off the Christmas excesses at our first event of the New Year on Saturday 14th January in Quarry Wood. We look forward to seeing you there, and at the Club Awards and Social event that evening at Roseisle Hall.

First day of Christmas Cup with horrendous weather forecast and a few inches of snow when we arrived . The weather was actually largely dry and most of the snow had gone overnight.
I loved it, a fabulous technical area. Margaret did her first rough terrain course for years since heart and second hip - a baptism of fire (or ice). Just too much for her but dogged as she is, she completed the short course. Caroline also went round the very physical course and was so inspired she arranged to go round day 3 as well. Roo also completed two runs, Day 2 was cancelled because of advice from the police about the snowy roads.

Day 3 of The Christmas cup was fabulous (although my run was not). Beautiful deciduous woods and dense conifer technical plantation. Very low temperature but dry.

What a contrast! Day 4 of the Christmas cup. 2 short races in probably the filthiest part of Edinburgh, reminding me of Brazilian favellas for junk. At least one thoughtful local placed a bed in an alleyway so that we could have a rest.
The racing was quite fun and the forecast rain all day never materialised.
