Membership renewal for 2023 - message from Rob
It’s that time of year when you not only get out the Christmas decorations from the attic, but also look out for your orienteering membership renewal emails. We hope you have enjoyed your orienteering this year, as we have returned to some sort of normality after Covid. There is an exciting programme of activities planned for 2023, culminating in Moray 2023 in late July/early August (www.scottish6days.com). Entries are now open for this wonderful festival of orienteering, right on our doorstep - an opportunity too good to miss!
Full details of events planned for the coming months are available at the usual places - our club website (www.mor.scot), the SOA website (www.scottish-orienteering.org) - where Nikki has just posted a diary of key Scotland-wide fixtures for 2023 - and the BOF website if you like to travel further afield to orienteer (www.britishorienteering.org.uk).
You can now renew for 2023 - so look out for the email reminders from either British Orienteering and Scottish Orienteering. We look forward to seeing you at a Moravian event in the New Year.

Next Events
Our Altyre night event is scheduled for tomorrow evening but entries for this are now closed. Steve suggests you check weather conditions tomorrow, check the event is still on before departing. Wrap up warm and beware slippery surfaces. Steve is still currently planning to go ahead. There is now no novice course.

You can enter for next week's Northern Night Cup though at Culloden. All the information is here.  Please pre-enter on SiEntries. Closing date: Sunday December 11th at 23:30. Night Novice: please also pre-enter on SIEntries, but also some limited EOD will be available. Pre-enter to
guarantee a map

Sunday 11th December Balmedie Colour Coded event with points for the MOR main club league.
How to enter:
You can turn up on the day and hope we’ve enough maps left for your preferred course or you can use our Early Email Entry system which guarantees a map. In either case payment is made on the day.
Gramp’s EEE entry system is quite simple:  you send an email to grampoc@gmail.com with ‘Balmedie EEE’ somewhere in the title line.  Include person/people to enter along with age group, club, colour of course required and SI details (if not an SI owner then flag that too).  No need to pay until the day at the event and you can swap courses if maps still available.
N.B. EEE closes at midnight on Friday 9th (bit earlier than usual as we have our AGM on Sat evening.)
The event details are here
