Pilot Update: What do Participants think?

As we begin the fourth month of the California Road Charge Pilot Program, we want to remind you to visit the Pilot Status web page to stay informed on how the pilot is progressing. Click HERE to check it out.

Pre-Pilot Survey – The Results Are In!

Thank you for your continued interest in the pilot program! We’ve received participant feedback on the enrollment process and their overall satisfaction with the pilot. Of the 3,191 surveys completed, 65% of respondents are satisfied with the pilot program as a whole.

Feedback from the pre-pilot survey has been tallied with the following results:

  • Respondents are highly satisfied with the ease of participation in the pilot so far (76%).
  • The feedback on the amount of time spent participating in the pilot was positive (75%).
  • Respondents reported positively (satisfied) about the clarity of communications to date (73%).
  • Nearly half of respondents (41%) were satisfied with their current Account Manager. Based on the Account Manger satisfaction rate, we look forward to giving participants the opportunity to explore other Account Manager options during open enrollment from November 1-15, 2016.
  • While there’s room for improvement with the Account Manager satisfaction rate, the majority of respondents were pleased with their mileage reporting option (76%)

Did You Know?

A majority of participants are interested in learning more about how road maintenance and repair are funded in CA—86% consider this a major interest—as part of their involvement in the pilot program.

Did you know that the primary source for California’s transportation infrastructure comes from charges applied to each gallon of gasoline sold? This graphic represents the total of combined taxes Californian’s actually pay at the pump, per gallon of gas.

Due to the complexity of this topic of interest, we will continue to add more detailed transportation funding facts in our upcoming newsletters!

Upcoming Public Meeting

We value your input! The next Technical Advisory Committee public meeting will take place in Riverside, CA on December 9, 2016. For more information on this meeting, click HERE.
We will be sending another pilot program update in early November (this will be during open enrollment) — thank you for your continued interest in the California Road Charge Pilot Program!

Sincerely,
