MS Program Transformation Updates

New Program Structure
Effective April 1, Information Security Office (ISO) will be responsible for the PCI compliance that was previously managed by Enterprise Technology Compliance (ETC) and Financial Management Services (FMS) will be the initial merchant point of contact for support.

Welcome New PCI Compliance Team from ISO
Shawn Kim joined ISO in February as Director of Special Programs. Her team of Information Security Officers will manage PCI compliance and file storage security.
 
Launch of the MS Community of Practice
A new Merchant Services Community of Practice (CoP) has been launched to create a place for faculty and staff to discuss best practices. With topics driven by the merchant community, productive conversations will be held through monthly community chat meetings and the #Merchant-Community-Forum Slack channel.
Operational Updates and Reminders
  • Processing Cost IncreaseWells Fargo Merchant Services has changed the cost structure for Stanford from a fixed rate to a tiered rate.
  • Contact MS via Stanford Services & Support: By May 2021, the Office of the Treasurer (OOT) will retire all of its shared mailboxes for all internal queries. All incoming requests will be routed through Stanford Services & Support.
  • Temporarily Suspend Eventbrite Gateway AccountsWith many Stanford Eventbrite users not organizing paid events in the near term, payment gateway accounts can be temporarily deactivated and then reactivated at no cost in the future.
  • Vendor Customer Support Change: Customer support contact information has changed for Cybersource and Certain.
  • Clover P2PE UpdatesA new security feature has been pushed to all Stanford Clover Flex point-of-sale devices to meet Point-to-Point-Encryption (P2PE) compliance requirements.
