ER Cleanup: Resolving Paused Expense Requests

Would you like to clear expense requests listed for your organization in the aging reports of the OBI Expense Request and SU Card Activity dashboard? They should only appear in aging for a limited number of days.

A Fingate resource, Resolving Aging Expense Requests provides specific steps to take for each transaction status to resolve holdups.

After the initial cleanup, you can easily monitor your organization’s expense requests by running the OBI Expense Request- Aging report on a periodic basis to identify transactions that require action based on the resource guidelines.

Labor Schedule Enhancement

The three PLM Labor Schedule reports have been updated to incorporate the new Pay Code Labor Schedules that were part of the recently released Labor Schedules system enhancement. There is a new field, Labor Schedule Type Description, in both Selection Criteria and reports. This field shows “Assignment” for Base Pay or specific descriptions for Additional Pay like Supplemental Pay SUP and Housing Allowance Univ HAP.

Refer to OBI Payroll and Labor Management Reporting Labor Schedule Report tabs for more information.

OBI System Upgrade This Spring

Stanford is upgrading its version of Oracle Business Intelligence on April 19, 2021. The upgrade will have almost no impact on the current user experience but will provide the technology base to release future improvements. OBI will be down during the weekend of April 17 and further details will be updated on the Fingate Announcement.

Flash Error When Opening Some Reports

If an Adobe Flash Error appears when running a report just click the refresh button to display the report. One exception is if it is an ad hoc dashboard. In this case, the dashboard should be modified by its owner who can schedule an OBI Open Lab session for assistance. The Flash Error problem will be eliminated when Stanford completes the OBI System Upgrade in April.

Did You Know?

You can get live one-on-one support to get any of your reporting questions answered! There are remote sessions offered every Friday via Zoom. The sessions are geared towards user support rather than a training demo.
