Epping Forest College is celebrating outstanding A-Level results.
Many learners will also receive the results of their Level 3 vocational and technical qualifications, marking a record pass rate for the college.
The college has achieved a 100 per cent pass rate on 13 of the 14 subjects offered at A-Level.
With an overall record A-Level pass rate of 98.7 per cent, as well as what looks set to be an outstanding pass rate for Level 3 vocational qualifications, Epping Forest College sets itself well and truly as a first choice educational institution for the local and regional community and beyond.
Students who applied to university gained entry to their first choice at higher education including Central Saint Martins, Trinity Laban, King’s College London and Hertfordshire University to name just a few.
A number of students have gained places on higher apprenticeship schemes and others have gained employment.
College CEO and principal Saboohi Famili expressed the joy of all staff in seeing students achieve such important academic milestones.
She said: "It is a privilege to work with such wonderful students and to enable them to achieve such remarkable success in very challenging examinations and during a difficult year for our college.
"We are very proud of their academic and technical excellence but equally we value their achievements as individuals and as very impressive young adults ready to take on the next important step in their lives.
"I have every confidence that they will go on to excel in whatever career they choose and make a very positive difference in society."
Councillor Gagan Mohindra, Chairman of the corporation, said: "Epping Forest College is firmly on its pathway to excellence and the commitment, professionalism and quality of staff is evident in the results for our learners as well as the high level of interest in the college for next year.
"I would like to thank all staff who have played a role in the success of our students this year and wish them success for 2017–18 academic year.
"I wholeheartedly congratulate our students for their achievements and wish them well for the future."
Ms Famili added: "The college has a special Big Breakfast Open Event for the community on Saturday, September 2, between 10am and noon to showcase what this fantastic educational establishment has to offer the local community.
"The event is open to all and is an opportunity to learn more about the college and enrol on one or more of many programmes that are on offer for the first time this academic year."
Deputy Principal Phil Hall said: "We are incredibly proud of all our students and appreciate that their excellent results reflect not only their dedication but also the considerable support of their parents, families and of course the teaching staff at the college.
"Whilst some students are going on to university courses we also have a number of students who will choose to enter the world of work directly and continue with their studies through a higher apprenticeship programme."
He added: "In order to help our students have a successful start on their university journey we have put together the 'Flying Start' programme that aims to equip our young people for the university life.
"From how to cook and eat healthy on budget to being safe and vigilant whilst away from home, the programme covers the essential skills any young adult requires to be focused and successful in their chosen pathway."
The highly engaging and interactive programme runs on September 2 between 11am and 3pm. Further information can be found on college website.
