The progress made at Epping Forest College in the past year will be highlighted at a special open day on Saturday.
College principal Saboohi Famili said: "Many people took me up on my offer to drop in and share their views and ideas a year ago when I had just been appointed as the CEO and principal and I wanted to hear from people about how we could improve their local college.
"One year on, I am inviting people to come and see how we have improved and see our plans for the future.
"We have faced many challenges over the last academic year and now proudly share some of the results."
The college's successes include a 13 per cent improvement in Level 2 Vocational Achievement (now five per cent) above the national rate), a three per cent improvement in Level 3 Vocational Achievement (now three per cent above the national rate), a record 98.75 per cent pass rate at A-Level, a 91 per cent pass rate in GCSE English and GCSE Higher Maths, and over 92 per cent positive progression from college courses to employment, further study, university, apprentices.
Ms Famili added: "We would really like people to come and see how the college has improved so much in just one year. We are inviting people to 'What a Difference A Day Makes', a special event to mark ‘one year on’."
The open day runs from 10am until noon on Saturday (October 14).
There will be an opportunity to find out more about what the college has to offer and its plans.
Admission is free.
