We've got some great events and groups planned for December before we close our doors for a short break. Make sure to keep an eye on our event calendar so you don't miss any of our great activities and support options.

Recovery Stories

December 15 - Reconnect Event
RSVP now for our final event of 2020! This Reconnect event is open to all current or potential clients, carers, and friends of EDQ. We will taking time for reflection, gratitude, and creativity. Join our community for one last time in 2020 - we welcome both familiar and new faces. Art packs are available for pickup from EDQ prior to 14th December.

Peer Support Group
The Peer Support Group (PSG) aims to provide those in recovery with an opportunity to connect with other peers who have shared similar experiences. This non-therapeutic group is facilitated by EDQ staff with lived experience, who will work alongside group participants to explore common themes in recovery.

Upcoming PSG groups will be held as below:
Thursday 10th December, 5.30pm
Monday 14th December, 12pm

December 18 - Recovery Warriors Psychoeducation Group

This group aims to provide participants with skills that can be used throughout recovery and beyond. We highly recommend it for anyone who is currently waiting to connect with individual counselling sessions, as well as anyone who is feeling like they might need some extra skills to cope with holiday season. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to admin@edq.org.au - spaces are limited!

December 9 - Carer Connect

The Carer Connect Support Group provides a supportive and collaborative environment for family members, carers and key support people to come together and is facilitated by EDQ Family & Carer Coaches

The December group will be held online from 6.30pm on Wednesday 9th December. RSVP to admin@edq.org.au

Please note the following changes to our office opening hours - we will be closing over the Christmas and New Year period for the first time this year.

Wednesday 2nd December - CLOSED
Wednesday 16th December - CLOSED
Thursday 24th December - Tuesday 5th January - CLOSED
Wednesday 6th January - OPEN

Many staff members are taking annual leave around this time as well, so individual schedules will vary.

Queensland Eating Disorders holds many events and groups designed to foster community. They bring us together and offer valuable support.
