St. Paul's is praying for you! ¡San Pablo está orando por ti!
I have to admit that so far I've found 2021 to be a bit...too much like 2020. After heaping all the blame for our woes on 2020, I think we were all hoping that turning the page on the calendar would solve things. But here we are, still in the throes of a global pandemic -- and all that entails personally and communally -- with a dash of political mayhem tossed in for good measure.
I ran across a Prayer for the Overwhelmed this week and I think it's helpful as we continue to navigate this time. I'm not sure who wrote it, but I share it hoping you may find strength and comfort through these words. The thing is, it's okay to admit to feeling overwhelmed these days. In fact, there's great theological grounding that derives from letting go of things we cannot control. Because what's left is to trust in the God of all hope.
I do think 2021 will collectively prove to be a better year. But either way, Jesus will be in the midst of it all. And that is ultimately where our hope lies.
