LBUSD STUDENT SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SUPPORTS
Irene White, Director of Special Education and the K-12 guidance staff presented information about the social emotional supports available for students within the district. The presentation included an overview of current initiatives and goals to refine the Guidance Plans for elementary, middle school and high school levels, which include social emotional (SEL) curriculum.

PROFILE REPORT & SELECTION CRITERIA FOR SUPERINTENDENT
Dr. Joseph Farley and Dr. Richard Malfatti, associates with Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, presented the findings and input received after conducting extensive interviews and focus groups regarding the superintendent recruitment. They reviewed a draft of the Leadership Profile Report and selection criteria with the Board, which included a summary of the strengths of the District; challenges, issues, and concerns; and the desired characteristics in an incoming superintendent as identified by stakeholders. The Board approved the report and criteria.  The recruitment phase of the search is expected to conclude in the next two weeks.

ARCHITECTURAL SERVICE CONTRACTS
Jeff Dixon, Director of Facilities, reviewed a staff proposal that the Board award an architectural service contract to SVA Architects to provide architectural services for CLC and music classrooms at Top of the World Elementary School. It was also proposed to award an architectural service contract to DC Architects to design and provide construction documents for the installation of shade structures at El Morro.
