Read for an update from Mr. Matthews regarding our plans for second semester.
Dear <<First Name>>,
It's been a little while since we have talked. I have mixed feelings as principal with the Christmas season here, and we are not together, but I am thankful we can still see each other online.
It is definitely strange not to have all of our usual activities this time of year. But I have good news! We are planning to have our special Thanksgiving hot lunch sometime in January, as well as a virtual Christmas drama team presentation (depending on the status of vaccinations and openings). We will be sending out more details as they become available.
We are praying to be open for in-person students in January, but that will be dependent on the Jefferson county positivity rate and the governor's orders. For the well-being of our students and faculty, as well as the importance of following state mandates, we abide by the law regarding in-person instruction. I know many families are adversely affected by this situation, and it breaks my heart not to be able to accommodate each need, but please understand that the decision is out of our hands.
Thank you to those who are keeping their tuition accounts up to date in these difficult times. Our teachers have been working many hours to make sure our students are still getting the academic structure and progress that is so important. I am very proud of my teachers and the extra work they have put in to make this all come together. I want to make everyone aware that they are going above and beyond to make all of this work.
It is very important that parents maintain close communication with your student's teacher to be sure all assignments are turned in and that your student has everything they need.
Report cards will be sent out next week to those whose accounts are current. Also, be sure to note the significant dates posted below.
