Principal's Message

What a wonderful start to a new year! For the first three days of school, 40% of our students were attending a huge youth event in Oshkosh, WI, so we had lots of time to get to know the students that were here. We are glad that all of our students are now safely home and in class! With the first full week of school in swing, just some reminders. Please be sure to arrive on time, dressed properly in the school uniform, and to bring your PE uniform on Mondays and Thursdays (Grades 1-10). We are looking forward to a chock-full schedule of events, trips, tournaments, and so much more this year. Our annual state fair trip is this Thursday and it is a great day of learning and fun outside the classroom. Be sure to get your state fair money ($2 per student) and permission slip(s) to the office by Wednesday at the absolute latest. Looking forward to “Eagle Eye-ing” you again on August 30th. God bless!

State Fair Field Trip Info
We are looking forward to our field trip to the state fair this coming Thursday, August 22. We need all permission slips and money to your student’s teacher by this Wednesday at the absolute latest. Please read and/or print this letter and form sent home carefully for all the details.  If you need another copy please come into the office. Students in grades PreK – 2 MUST have a parent accompany them, though all parents are welcome to join us for the day.  Any older students who plan to stay for the rest of the day must bring written permission to do so. Tickets are $2 each and include parking, and children age 5 and under are free. Students must bring a sack lunch or at least $8 to purchase lunch.
LAA Open House
Our annual open house is happening on Thursday, September 5, from 3:30 to 7:00 pm. Our open house includes teachers explaining what is required of the students this year and, of course, an opportunity for you to meet your student’s teacher(s) personally. Students will be displaying their work and there will be a few surprises along the way. We are excited about meeting each and every one of you! Come chat with your student’s teacher regarding any questions you may have about homework, tests/quizzes, projects, etc. Light refreshments will be served.
Goodies & Grands
On Monday, September 9, from 8-9 am we will be having a special Grandparent’s Day at LAA. All grandparents (or “adopted” grandparents) are invited to join us for some refreshments, fun activities, and the opportunity to get in the classroom with their favorite students. Please invite any grandparents (or close friends that are grandparents) to join us that morning!
Tardy Slips
We have a new policy regarding tardiness. If your student arrives past 8:05 for school, they must come to the office to fill out a tardy slip in order to be allowed into their classroom.
Box Tops for Education - New Technology!
We participate in box tops for education, so clip those box tops and bring them in to the office! They are on many products everyone uses, so keep your eyes open for them. Also, Box Tops are transitioning to a fully digital version. You can now download a Box Tops for Education app, use it to scan your receipt, and your items will automatically be credited to your school! Definitely check this out!

If you shop regularly at Kroger, please take a moment to sign up for their community rewards program. It does not cost you anything, and Kroger will donate to our school based on the amount of sales we have from families that are signed up. This past quarter we had 38 families participating and earned $150! It only takes a minute to help us raise funds for the school without costing yourself a dime! Register your Kroger shoppers card online today at krogercommunityrewards.com. Simply choose our school as your selected charity.
Tuition Payments
Remember that the tuition is due by the 20th of each month and is considered late after that date. If your payment is not received on time, your account will be considered delinquent and your child may be subject to suspension. If you have any questions, you may contact Arden Hagele at 813-310-3839 or at treasurer.laa@gmail.com.
