Take Me Out to the Ball Game!
 

Since our last update, the Music Makes Me Happy Chorus sang this July at the Lowell Spinners baseball game!

• The weather was dangerously hot that day, but those of us that were in town, and able to withstand the heat sang a rousing rendition of the national anthem

We have welcomed two new members to our chorus! We are so happy Matt, Sarah, and Sarah's mother Maria are now a part of our chorus "familiy"! 


Chorus member Lizzie introduced her long time friend Matt to our group. He is currently a student at the Cotting school, and many alumni in our group were excited to reconnect with their old friend!


Sarah and her mother Maria have started attending, and we are thrilled to have them! Their smiles are infectious, and they have lovely voices too!

We’re pleased to announce a new board member: Elaine Dreher, who has been assisting with bookkeeping and reporting for the past year and a half, has agreed to join Marsha and Kathryn on the board as our Treasurer.

We are also excited to tell you about the formation of an Advisory Council. A wonderful group of creative, dedicated people will meet with the board 3-4 times a year to assist with things such as publicity, fundraising, and outreach.

Our first 2 meetings have been very successful, and we look forward to great collaboration and great outcomes!

On the Tuesday before Halloween, our wonderful volunteer MaryLou brought supplies for a pumpkin decorating activity. It was fun to see everyone’s creativity on display, and they were excited to take their pumpkins home.

We are looking for a couple of new volunteers to join us on Tuesday evenings from 7-:830.

High schoolers or adults who have singing experience are invited to inquire. Local friends, please help us spread the word!
