CNLC is responding to
COVID-19 with our community!
Neighbourhood Houses play a vital role in helping communities feel supported and connected. In tough times like this our role is more important than ever, and it has been wonderful to see how the sector has risen to the challenge to meet people’s needs. For health and safety precautions we have had to close our physical space, however CNLC has been working hard to pivot the way we work in order to still be accessible to our community. Our message is ‘We are open – but we are not here
Term 2 is upon us and although it will look very different to last term we endeavour to continue running engaging programs across both the Further Education and Community Development streams.
Strong relationships with community members and fellow agencies is a strength of the centre, and these connections have enabled us to quickly identify immediate and emerging needs for people in Carlton.
We are developing projects specifically designed to support vulnerable community members throughout this time, and also adapting our regular programs to cater for the current climate.
The team at CNLC sends you our warm wishes for a safe and healthy few months. We look forward to seeing everyone face-to-face for a celebration when we our doors re-open down the track. In the meantime you can follow us on Facebook
to keep up to date with current activity and stay connected to the centre.
