Hello, all! We're looking forward to an exciting winter season of fun events for all ages at the Downingtown Library! (Be sure to check out the full list of upcoming events by visiting www.downingtownlibrary.org) While you're browsing online, be sure to check out the incredible online offerings you can access from home, simply using your Downingtown library card- all completely free! Use Flipster to read and even download articles from 70+ digital magazines for all ages- including popular titles like "Country Living," "Men's Health," "Good Housekeeping," "US Weekly," "Highlights,"Reader's Digest," The New Yorker," and many, many more. You can also also access thousands of free eBooks and eAudiobooks to read/listen to on your phone, tablet, or computer using OverDrive (and the OverDrive app called "Libby") and RB Digital. Want to learn a new language, or brush up on computer skills? Stop by the Chester County Library System's collection of online databases, chock-ful of resources to help you learn from home: https://www.ccls.org/196/Databases-by-Name The vast majority of these tools are accessible anywhere with your Downingtown Library card- so you can learn a new language (Mango Languages), take a Driver's Ed practice test (Driver's Education), access skill building educational courses for all ages- from GED prep to computer skills (Learning Express Library), and much more, all from the comfort of your home!

The Downingtown Library continues to host various local school art shows.  Be sure to stop in and see what we have on display!  We also offer several computers for your use, quiet tutoring spaces and a helpful staff.
