The moment of truth for the One Health research agenda

NCOH brings together academic research institutes in the Netherlands and aspires to provide a trusted launching platform of an excellent standard for public-private partnerships in the international One Health research field. Martin Scholten, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, sets out his vision in this regard. The NCOH has reached a crucial point, says Martin Scholten.


 


 
 

Leiden University and LUMC join the NCOH


Leiden University and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) have joined the NCOH, thereby forming an even stronger academic network on infectious diseases in The Netherlands.


 

 

6 Million euros for development of new antibiotics


The Dutch Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport will invest more than 6 million euros in research into new antibiotics during the next four years. The money is intended for a new research programme for the development of antibiotics and is associated with the new National Antibiotic Development Platform. The platform will be part of the Netherlands Centre for One Health and will consolidate and strengthen research.


 


 
 

Science Café ONE HEALTH - Friday 4 November


Within the NCOH, currently a lot of exciting and important research is being conducted. What is going well? What can be improved? How does collaboration contribute to our research? We invite all NCOH investigators to come to the second Science Café ONE HEALTH to get up to speed with the latest developments and meet fellow NCOH colleagues.


 


 
 

NCOH lists of Principle Investigators


The NCOH proudly presents its list of participating NCOH Principle Investigators per theme. The lists and the criteria for inclusion have been set by the Executive Board. Requests for addition or amendments to the lists are organized through the Scientific Directors. You can find the Principle Investigators lists for all four NCOH Strategic Research Themes on the NOCH website.

All the corporate identity tools for the NCOH can be found on ncoh.nl/toolkit. Besides the Design Manual, you will also find all NCOH's Powerpoint templates, icons, key visuals, and logos, including those of the partners. Please use these items when representing the NCOH.

NCOH Design Toolkit

Solutions to Global One Health Challenges

The Netherlands Centre for One Health (NCOH) bundles top-leading academic research institutes in the Netherlands in an open innovation network focused on One Health: public, veterinary, wildlife, and ecosystems health. It aims for an integrated approach to face the global risk of infectious diseases and to develop durable solutions regarding grand societal health challenges. This virtual science-driven institution focuses its research and increase of knowledge on antibiotic resistance, emerging infectious diseases, smart farming, and healthy ecosystems. The NCOH stimulates collaboration between academic and research institutes, governments, NGOs, public health institutes, and industrial partners. The NCOH partners are Utrecht University, University Medical Center Utrecht, Wageningen University and Research, Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam, Academic Medical Center Amsterdam, Leiden University and Leiden University Medical Center.
