IMPORTANT CRIM RACE ANNOUNCEMENT:
NEW START TIMES
Due to the high forecasted temperature and humidity on race day, we are adjusting our start time windows for the 10 Mile, 5 Mile, 5K, and Michigan Mile this Saturday. We want to make sure we can provide the safest and healthiest environment for all our racers and volunteers.
PLEASE DISREGARD YOUR ORIGINALLY ASSIGNED START TIME WINDOW.
Instead of a specific 15 minute window, we're asking all our racers to report to the start line BASED ON YOUR EVENT ONLY!
Updated Start Time Schedule
6:45am - 10 Mile Wheelers & Hand Cyclists
6:55am - 30 & 40 Year Racers
7am - 8am: 10 Mile Start
8:30am - 9am: 5 Mile Start
9:30am - 10am: 5K Start
10:30am - 11am: Michigan Mile Start
Racers that arrive late to the start line WILL STILL BE ABLE TO START their race. We are simply trying to allow more racers to start earlier in the day to avoid the extreme heat.
Please follow these additional precautions leading up to, and during, your Crim race:
Drink plenty of water, starting now, to be properly hydrated.
Visit our water stations along the course. They're there for a reason!
Be conservative with your race pace. With the heat index as high as it is forecasted to be, it's best to start slower and ease into the race. Don't worry about setting a personal best, and listen to your body!
Again, our top priority is safety, and we want to provide the safest and healthiest environment for our racers and volunteers. Thank you for your understanding, and we'll see you on the bricks!
