Spirit Week is Here!!!

What a great week we had filled with seeing you, learning together, and setting out a great foundation for 2022!

Thank you to all the Parents and Students who volunteered at Fruit Stand, Uniform fittings, and donated fruit! It takes a village, and you are AWESOME!

Varsity Night Blocks begin this week! We are monitoring the heat temperatures hourly and may make adjustments to where students will be at the 6pm hour.  We will communicate via parent square and are social medias for any updates.

Friendly Reminder: Those temps are increasing!  I recommend a camel back water or I bought this fan for around my neck to help with heat!  Whatever makes you perform your best! 

Schedule pick up for all students is this week.  We have made arrangements with CHS and CHS9 about picking up their schedules:
--CHS Band Students can pick up their schedules on their assigned day from 11-1pm
--CHS9 Students can pick up their schedule on Thursday, August 4 from 1-3pm
--NT@Coppell should follow their own schedule and send a reminder to their assigned director of when they will be out.

Varsity Band Registration is Saturday, August 6th.  There will be details, but also fees and information sent out by the Booster Organization this week.  I want to say ahead of time that many hours and conversations have gone in to the finances for the upcoming year.  With two years of Covid, supply issues, and now the increase of inflation, bands across the state are all having the same issues with building out fees for their respective programs.  We want the absolute best for everyone, so please reach out if there is a financial need as these fees are coming up.

Registration Step-by-Step:
1. Enter at the Main Entrance to the school nearest the flagpoles.
2. Drop off Complete Forms (linked below) All forms should be completed before coming to registration.
3. Verify CHARMS login and information update
4. Verify completion (if needed) of Food Allergies/Restrictions Form  If you have any special FOOD NEEDS (allergies, vegetarian, vegan), you MUST complete the form.
5. Sign up to Volunteer at something this year
6. Try on shoes (if needed) / verify t-shirt and compression sizes (no try-ons) Returning Members who need to replace compression gear, need to speak to a director.  We will not order compression gear for returning members- it will be purchased individually.
7. Pay your first installment of the Band Fee and any other necessary fees for the year.

Boosters will be sending out a more details in regards to fees and payment options later this week.  Be on the lookout.  For planning purposes the Band Fee is estimated between $1000-1300 and the Varsity  fee is $850​.  Both fees have increased due to expenses in travel and lodging, price of food, supply and demand, and due to inflation and the current economical climate.
