In times of uncertainty, anxiety and despair, we must remember:
God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
Dear friends and supporters,
Today I bring you a message of hope in a time of uncertainty. As you know, for 35 years Habitat Fresno has helped build strength, stability and self-reliance in our community; attributes we need now more than ever. With the severity of COVID-19 and the most recent call to 'shelter-in-place’, the fact remains many residents in our community simply lack shelter, meaning our work putting God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope must continue.
In an effort to protect the health and safety of our volunteers, supporters and staff, we will be taking the following measures until March 31:
- All volunteer opportunities at the job site and our affiliate office are canceled.
- All committee meetings will be conducted virtually through conference calls.
- All weekly Acts of Kindness projects are canceled (we are still taking applications so we are ready to go upon operations being fully restored).
- The Habitat Partner Family Reunion on March 28 is canceled.
Also, while the dedicated Habitat staff will continue to do the good work of our organization from their homes, please continue to contact them the way you normally would during regular business hours. Also, our new Home Construction, Critical Repair, and ReStores are operating at full capacity as they provide essential services to our communities.
Thank you for all that you do to help Habitat build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter across Fresno and Madera counties.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please email me at Matthew@habitatfresno.org, or call (559)237-4102, ext. 100.
