We Did Amazing WORK TOGETHER in 2019!

As we come together to celebrate the Christmas season, we wanted to take a moment of your time to reflect, and share how your giving has been put to work. It is humbling to consider all the lives impacted through our collective effort. In 2019, together, we built homes, enhanced neighborhoods, and created hope all across our community.

Building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable shelter has been the cornerstone of Habitat’s mission since 1985. We have had the privilege of serving over 1,000 families and will continue to serve many more with help from friends like you.

Here is a snapshot of our work in action over the last twelve months that demonstrates just how far an investment in Habitat goes:
  1. Major milestone. This year, we hit our 200th Acts of Kindness project that offers low-income homeowners with basic home beautification, minor repairs, and other improvements.
  2. We continue to invest. Our Home Preservation Program works in partnership with low-income homeowners on deferred maintenance projects and critical repairs. This program saw a market rate investment of nearly $800,000 in our community. Without this investment, countless homes would have continued to fall into disrepair.
  3. Currently, we have 15 homes under various stages of construction in Fresno and Madera Counties.
  4. Volunteers made it happen! Nearly 26,000 hours of donated labor was provided, translating into $391,000 of investment into our programs.
  5. Watch this news story on our workforce development program that served 152 students in 2019. This program offers valuable career technical experience that leads to amazing job opportunities.
  6. We opened our third ReStore in Madera County.
As you can see, we are very determined when it comes to improving the lives of those less fortunate in our community through our ‘hand up’ approach. This is precisely why your investment in our effort is so important to us--not only will it allow for us to continue this great work, but to expand it as well.

With December 31st just around the corner, your investment really does matter to real people in our community. As we plan ahead, we hope we can count on your financial support.
