The Super Slow Way Linear Park is an ambitious vision that hopes to demonstrate how the Leeds & Liverpool Canal corridor can be developed as a major asset for the communities that live in this part of East Lancashire.
Join us for our second event to hear about what’s been happening along the canal as part of the Linear Park programme, many activities are now in full swing & with more popping up week by week as we approach summer. The main focus of the day will be exploring what the landscape & playscape around the canal could look like, with BDP & Timberplay both delivering interactive & playful workshops to explore how together we can reshape the future of Pennine Lancashire, creating a vision which is both ambitious & deserved for the communities who live, work & play here.
BDP are an international interdisciplinary practice of architects, engineers, designers and urbanists who are working with Super Slow Way to create a landscape design strategy for the Leeds & Liverpool Canal corridor in East Lancashire.
Timberplay are one of the most respected names within the play industry and have worked on leading play areas internationally. Alongside play products they passionately believe that the landscape is an essential part of a successful design for play.
