Health Inequalities Commission and BwD Equity Task Force
On Monday 20th September there is a major on-line event to launch the Lancashire and South Cumbria Health Inequalities Commission, which is being chaired by Sir Michael Marmot, world renowned Professor from the Institute of Health Equity.
We would encourage everyone in Blackburn with Darwen, who is interested in the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda to sign up for the event and listen to what Sir Michael has to say.
Following the event, Community CVS will be holding a series of on-line discussions to work out what this means for Blackburn with Darwen. These sessions will take place between October and December 2021 culminating in a conference style event in early 2022.
You're all welcome to attend our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 23rd September, for a brew, a chance to network and learn new things and enjoy some delicious cake. We're starting in the Boulevard Centre Conference Room at 11.30am and continuing at our Community Hub.
There are also a host of prizes to be won via our fundraising raffle. Purchase you tickets from the Admin Office in the Community Hub.
