The next meeting of the Practitioner and Volunteer Coordinator Network will take place on Thursday 22nd April from 9.30am via Zoom.

We are excited to be working alongside partners across Lancashire to deliver our brand new Upskilling the Health & Social Care Workforce Project, which aims to develop the skills of those working in the fields of health and social care. You can get the full picture here.
In order to deliver this, we are seeking to recruit a total of nine new members of our team, covering three roles: -

► One Programme Manager
► Four Connecting Communities Development Officers
► Four Senior Training Advisors

Get Online at the Community Hub – Digital Drop-in

Do you work with people who are digitally excluded or would like to develop their IT skills? Please feel free to let them know about the following offer from Community CVS.

At this time when having access to the internet and wi-fi can make or break your chances of getting a job or getting the help you need, doors are open Monday to Friday at the Community Hub, 35 Railway Rd, Blackburn, for free and friendly help to enable people to ‘get online’ or get help with basic internet skills. Call 01254 583957 to reserve a place.


These free and friendly drop-in sessions with laptops will help people with life’s essentials – whether it is to search and apply for jobs, get an email address, sort out bills and banking, or access benefits and support.

For anyone that lacks confidence, there is no need to worry – Community CVS staff are used to helping people get to grips with the absolute basics, and you will soon gain more confidence in using the internet.

Places are available on a pre-booking basis, 1011.30am, or 11.30am1pm throughout the week (Monday-Friday).

The digital drop-in is open to all, but reserving a place in advance is essential by calling 01254 583957.

All support is COVID-19 safe in line with government recommendations.
