Rise & Shine are holding an event at St. Paul's WMI in Blackburn on Saturday 25th September from 10am to 1pm.
► IMO have a Diabetes Education Session entitled Learning to look after your diabetes coming up this month. If you'd like to attend, please fill out this form. Deadline for applications is Sunday 26th September.
► West Lancs CVS are recruiting new members for their Community Champions team. Deadline is Monday 27th September at 5pm.
Spring North's next Pennine Lancs VCFSE meeting is taking place on Thursday 30th September. Contact them to learn more.
The NSPCC are seeking to recruit Schools Coordinators. Deadline is midnight on Thursday 30th September.
► Razia from Proactive Support is collecting new underwear and socks for men, women and children newly arriving from Afghanistan.
If you would like to donate please drop it off at 15-19 Croft Street, Darwen BB3 1BG on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (10am to 2pm) up to Friday 1st October.
Nominations for the LSCft Governors Elections close on Monday 4th October at 11.59pm.
► Lancashire Women are seeking organisations to help their suicide prevention work by signing up to their TISA VISA programme.
Additionally, they are recruiting. Deadlines are Sunday 10th & Monday 11th October.

Volunteering Futures Fund - closes Sunday 26th September
Match funding to grant making organisations such as charitable foundations and philanthropic institutions to administer high quality volunteering programmes based on community and youth initiatives.

Thomas Wall Trust - Grants for Registered Charities - closes Monday 27th September
Grants for charities for specific projects or core activities that equip disadvantaged people aged 18 and over with the necessary communication skills for employment.

Hedley Foundation - closes Wednesday 29th September
Grants to smaller charities operating across the spectrum of social need.

Which? Fund - closes Wednesday 29th September
Grants for charities and universities with exempt charitable status to support research projects aiming to improve understanding of the specific consumer harms experienced by diverse and disadvantaged communities and to develop evidence-based solutions to tackle these harms.
The Council's funding portal, Community Foundation for Lancashire's funding page (guidelines can be found here) and the Lancashire Police & Crime Commissioner's website provide exceptional resources for those seeking funding.
