Greetings and Lenten Blessings!

We are almost to Easter, can you believe it?  I hope you’ve grown closer to the Lord this season & found peaceful moments in this desert-y time.   It’s been a challenge to make myself slow down & take more time for Him over the past few weeks, so I am quite thankful that my parish has good things to offer like Stations of the Cross, Soup Suppers, Penance services and the like.  I hope you’ve been equally fed!

Speaking of spiritual food, here’s a big shout-out to the gals I met at the St. Joseph Women’s retreat. It was a pleasure meeting you all.  Welcome to the newsletter!

The theme of the retreat was “My yoke is easy, and My burden light;” it was largely focused on rest for your labors and had some wonderful speakers.  I hope to be back next year!  As a gift to my new subscribers & to the rest of y’all, here is a coupon code for free shipping for the rest of April:   APRIL17   Just enter it in on your final checkout page.

Paschal Candle Update

And speaking of labor, I am so, so grateful that my labors in one area are complete- I finished all of my Paschal Candles a couple of weeks ago!  (*Drumroll*) Here they are:

They are all set to be lit at Easter- I’ll be able to see at least two, maybe three in action, so I am quite jazzed.

And of course, I’ve more projects to share.  More than a few people were waiting for me to get to this one, and the design is now complete.  Here is your sneak preview of Pope St. John Paul II!  Once I finish this painting, colorful prints and notecards will be available in this design:

Spes means Hope, in Latin.

The other project is a more personal one, but I thought y’all might like to see it, for kicks.  It is a small painting I did for my youngest sister, who, with her hubby, is busy setting up the nursery for their 1st child!  We are over the Moon and beyond the Milky Way excited for them, as this little girl will be the first kiddo on my side of the family.  The nursery is forest themed and I can’t wait to visit once little Miss C. is born!

I wish you all a happy Holy Week- see you in the Easter Season!

Peace,

Adalee
