Will technology replace my diabetes educator? See what industry experts from Fit4D, diaTribe, and the CDC had to say on the AADE17 keynote panel.
On August 7, thought leaders gathered to discuss trends in the diabetes space at the AADE17 keynote panel. Panelists included Adam Brown, Senior Editor of diaTribe, David Weingard, Founder & CEO at Fit4D, Dr. Ann Albright, Division of Diabetes Translation at the CDC. The panel was moderated by Virginia Valentine. APRN-CNS, BC-ADM, CDE, FAADE, Executive Director of Medical Affairs at Health Scripts Care.
Fit4D made a splash at AADE17. CEO, David Weingard sat on the keynote panel (video above), Chris Bergstrom from BCG spoke about Fit4D in his talk about digital health (photo below right), and CDEs flocked to the Fit4D booth to take the "Stump the CDE" quiz. Clinical Director, Teresa McArthur, and Clinical Manager, Sherri Isaak, presented their poster about the results of CDE coaching.

Team Fit4D raises over $1000 at the ADA Walk to Stop Diabetes in Detroit, Michigan
On Saturday, August 26, Fit4Ders, led my Team Captain, Nanette Sabell RPh, CDE (right), walked and donated to improve the lives of people with diabetes. Donations to the American Diabetes Association are going toward providing community-based education programs, protecting the rights of people with diabetes and funding research for a cure.
