Are you ready for more E-bikes?

70 more e-bikes are being added to the Heartland B-cycle Fleet!

Heartland B-cycle staff with shipment of new e-bikes!
Since we launched e-bikes in May 2019 they have been an absolute hit! Not only have many riders told us about all the fun they've been having with e-bikes but our ridership data backs up the e-bike love. The electric pedal-assist bikes get ridden 4 times more often than our classic bikes and on average 60% of trips each month have been taken by e-bikes since their launch. Due to their success, we have been working hard to make more electric pedal-assist bikes available to our riders!
We are thrilled to announce that we are adding another 70 e-bikes to our fleet in anticipation for our ORBT expansion. We will be adding stations at select ORBT stations. Funding for the ORBT expansion project was provided by Nebraska Environmental Trust and Metro Transit

Heartland B-cycle Office Gets New Art

Our shop got an upgrade recently with this rad art installation thanks to the New North Makerhood, Future Forward, and Investors Realty! A huge thank you to The Bike Union and Coffee and the Community Bike Project Omaha for the bikes & bike parts for this project. These nonprofits do amazing work in our community and we appreciated their help bringing this bike wall to life. We think it's pretty amazing and, we know we're biased but, the B-cycle is definitely our favorite part.

A behind the scenes look at our newest station at Papillion Landing!

Check out this great video the City of Papillion put together about the new station at Papillion Landing. If you ever wondered what goes into installing a Heartland B-cycle station, you'll want to check this out!

Heartland B-cycle & Your Health

In response to COVID-19, Heartland B-cycle has increased our cleaning protocols. All of our bike technicians are wearing masks & gloves when they go out to sanitize, balance, and do bike maintenance. Before you ride, we suggest disinfecting all user contact points on the bike. Make sure to maintain 6 feet or more of distance between yourself & others. Don't forget to wash your hands after your trip with soap & water.
Heartland B-cycle is operated by Heartland Bike Share.
Heartland Bike Share is a 501c3 nonprofit that exists for the development, promotion, and operation of bike sharing programs throughout the Heartland region for the benefit of the general public, aimed at promoting health and quality of life as well as mitigating climate change and promoting the use of sustainable forms of transportation.
