You might know that the Government give schools a premium to spend on sports. Our target is to improve the involvement of children in sports and outdoor activities. We have a sports specialist who provides PE support and leadership to our teachers to ensure the children get good opportunities in lessons, we have clubs at lunchtimes and after schools. The clubs are there to get children ready for competitions that are coming up in the year, as well as encourage participation.
Sadly, children are not coming to the after school clubs and we are wondering why! They seem to enjoy participating in the lessons during school time.
Please could you fill out this very quick form to explain the problems or issues you have around our clubs and help us to meet your needs.

Clubs are now available to book online. We have an exciting selection from film club to gardening club after school and animation, book folding and photography at lunchtime. These are available to view on the school website and in the school foyer on the club board. Please sign up as soon as possible to ensure your child's space. Due to health and safety we cannot accept any children at clubs unless they have been booked in online. Sports Club has been cancelled due to lack of interest and will not be offered again until the spring.
We are now joining Reception Class on the playground in the mornings at 9 o’clock. The children are joining in with movement to get their bodies warmed up and ready for learning. We also go over to the school hall for lunch. These activities are helping the children get used to spending time at school and will help with their transition to Reception Class in the future.
We had a walk to the library this week. The children enjoyed choosing books and listening to stories. The librarian commented on their wonderful behaviour-Well done Tiddlers!
As the weather has now turned colder please make sure your child comes to Tiddlers with a warm coat and suitable footwear so we can still play outside and take the children out for walks in our community. A spare set of clothes is also a good idea.
The children are loving their mindfulness/yoga sessions in the afternoons. We are hoping to purchase some lavender eye pillows to help them with this. If you would be able to make a donation towards these we would be very grateful. They will cost us £3 each.
We would like to say massive congratulations to Katie who graduated this week. We are all really proud of her achievement. Well done Katie!
Finally, if you have any questions or comments regarding your child and their time at Tiddlers we are more than happy to help. Staff are available at the beginning and the end of the day or if you require longer we can arrange a suitable time. Thank you to all of our Tiddler families for your ongoing support.
