Return to School Tuesday 5th January 2020

Date: 04/01/2021

Dear Parents,

I hope that you have all managed to enjoy the Christmas Holidays, even during these strange times.

I am sure you are aware of the current situation regarding COVID-19 and that we are now in Tier 3 in our area. There has been lots of discussions over the last few days from Teaching Unions regarding whether Primary Schools should open after Christmas. As it currently stands we are opening tomorrow to start the new term, however, we are also awaiting the government announcement at 8pm this evening and things may change after this announcement. Unfortunately we only know this information when you are also told, so it makes planning very tricky!

Therefore I would like to plan ahead as, in the event of another national lockdown, we may only be required to open for critical workers and vulnerable children. I have prepared a google form for parents to use to inform the school whether they would require critical worker/vulnerable children school provision if this was to happen.

I will email you all again after the 8pm announcement to confirm arrangements whatever is announced but wanted to start preparing to ensure we were ready for tomorrow in all circumstances.

Thank you for your continued support and patience.

Kind Regards,

Mrs Gail Holmes
Executive Headteacher
