It’s been another interesting week, starting with the bug that’s been going about! The children coped very well and the staff were all brilliant coping on Monday, with all of Big Tiddlers staff poorly. I’m very glad to say that everyone is fighting fit now and we all have our fingers crossed that the weekend is a healthy one.

I’m very pleased to say that Mrs Peters passed her minibus certification course this week and can now drive the children to sports (and other) events. Mr Guyler and Mr Railston were also re-certified to drive the bus. We now have 4 drivers available as Mrs Wilson is also a qualified bus driver!

We are having quite a number of visitors in school at the moment. The curriculum is a very important aspect of school life and the teachers and staff are always trying very hard to give the children new and different experiences from which to launch their learning. Please keep a look out for the different opportunities and please try and support school as much as possible. We always try and keep extra costs down but we dearly want to provide an exciting education for your children.

Next week the Y4 children are in Bristol and Mr Railston will be with them. If you need to contact a senior teacher at school Mr Hookes will be available or you can always contact your class teacher through dojo.

Have a great weekend and I will leave you with a picture from Hot Chocolate Friday! Two weeks worth of fantastic children.

We as a school have the responsibility to regularly monitor the attendance of its pupils and report back you.  It is the law that it is the parents responsibility to ensure that their child attends school regularly.  Many cases of absence are for genuine reasons and we understand that each individual situation is unique.  However, we must make every effort to get your children into school to increase their chances of having a successful education.
Letters will be received by some of you for children who has dropped below the national average.  If you have any queries about your child's attendance, please do not hesitate to come and see me.

The children have been interested in learning about Chinese new year this week. We searched for China on our world map, tried some noodles, talked about it being the year of the pig and even had a go at some Chinese writing!
We had some lovely entries for our book fair competition where the children redesigned the front cover of their favourite book. The book fair is still on at school in the entrance area. You are welcome to go and have a look at the wonderful selection of books for sale. A percentage of sales goes back into the school.
As we start to get busier heading towards the summer term, please let us know if you would like to book any extra hours for your child.
As always, if you need to speak with a member of staff we are available when you drop off or collect your child and if you require longer then an appointment can be made for a convenient time. As always, thank you for your support and please let us know if you have any questions or comments and we will be happy to help. Have a lovely week end from the Tiddlers team.
