Mr Railston's bit...

We are just back from taking the Year 5 to the Pinkery for some fantastic outdoor learning. We had a great time starting our work on the John Muir Award. We lay the foundations for this work during the Y3 trip and really get stuck into learning geographical exploration, geology, environmental study and conservation. We are all convinced after seeing the children working that this is an exceptionally valuable learning experience for all. Thank you to all the parents, your support is vital for these experiences. A huge thank you to Mrs Murdoch and Mr Hookes for giving their time to make this trip such a success.

We’ve all got a bit of recovering to do now. See you on Monday.

                   Flapjack & milk

Please remember to order your child's meal before midnight the day before you require the meal. If no meal is ordered your child will be given a cheese baguette.
Please do not drive up Hangman Path and use the loading bay to park when you drop off your children. This is a safety risk as well as not allowed in our agreement with the Parish Council. We do get complaints from local residents. The Parish Council have been very keen to support us in regards to limited 'free parking' at Kiln Car Park for Parents/Carers who drive their children to and from school.  Free of charge parking for up to 40 minutes in the morning and afternoon within set times are permitted.

Morning: 8.30 - 9.10am
Afternoon: 2.55pm - 3.35pm

Please be aware, that parking outside of these times without paying, a parking ticket will be issued!

We would also like to reiterate that under no circumstances, parking being allowed alongside the kerb outside of school.   This is extremely dangerous for you,  other road users, parents and pupils coming in and out of school.  Rews close is privately owned, and no parking is permitted.

Thank you.
Tempest Photography will be in school on Thursday 25th April to take Traditional class photos. Please ensure your child is in full school uniform on this day.

We would like to advise you of the services for which childcare vouchers/tax free childcare can be accepted as payment in our school.
Breakfast Club
After School Care
After School Extra-curricular activity clubs (if delivered onsite at school)

Regulations state that the vouchers can be used to pay for onsite and out of school hours childcare.  We regret to inform you that this rule prevents us from accepting childcare vouchers, as payment for school lunches, educational visits or residential trips, despite what some voucher companies are advertising to parents on their website.
Thank you

We still have an  amount of consent forms outstanding for your children to do activities off-site both on foot and for short bus journeys.   Without this consent form we will be unable to take your children off-site.

We have distributed another form for the children who are outstanding..  Please fill out asap so we can include your children in our outside learning local visits.

We have been enjoying the sunny weather this week at Tiddlers. As the temperature increases(hopefully) as we enter summer term please send your child in with a sunhat, suncream and water as we will be outside doing our learning as much as possible.
We have had lots of visitors to Tiddlers and Tinies recently and some  new children starting with us. We've received some lovely feedback about our setting from professionals and parents and carers. We all work really hard to provide an environment which enables the children to reach their full potential and to be happy and confident so this is great to hear.
Next term our numbers are increasing as they always do at this time of year. As always, if you need to speak to a member of staff we can arrange a convenient time for everyone.

We are having an open morning on Wednesday the 3rd of April. You are invited to stay when you drop your child off and look through their learning journal. It will also be a good opportunity to talk to your childs keyworker and have a look around.

Tempest Photography will be at Tiddlers and Tiny Tiddlers on Friday 5th April between 8.30 and 10am to take group photos to create this years Class vista Photo. If your child is not in session on that day we would appreciate you popping them in for the photo.
The photographer will also be taking the traditional graduation photos ( cap and gown ) of our September School starters. This will be the only opportunity for you to have these photos taken.
If you think you may be entitled to either 30 hours childcare or 2 year old funding or you would like to find out more information please go to

If you have a golden ticket please see Debbie or the Tiny Tiddlers team as soon as possible so that we can book your child in.
