Father General visits Devon Prep
Every 6 years, the Father General of the Piarist Order must visit all Religious Communities and Ministries in the Order. He will visit the Province of the United States and Puerto Rico during the month of December, and he visited Devon on December 12 and 13.
His visit to Devon included meeting with the Piarist Fathers, hearing from the Administration about the projects in place and in the future, sharing with the Board of Trustees, celebrating the Eucharist with the whole community, hearing the student body, visiting the facilities, and all other kinds of encounters.
Fr. Pedro Aguado Cuesta, the General Father, was born in Spain, in Bilbao, in 1957. He studied with the Piarist Fathers and he stayed with them. He has been a teacher, Rector, Master of Juniors, Provincial, and now General since 2009. He is also Consultor for the Congregation for the Catholic Education of the Holy See, and Chairman of the Education Committee of the Union of General Superiors, in Rome. He has participated in the recent Synod of Bishops about Young People, Vocation, and discernment.
