Show Up and Write Thursdays (SUWT) Thursday mornings. Next session Jan 24, 2019.  Dal Global Health offers a "show up and write thursdays" (SUWT) space to write with peers, discuss the challenges and successes of writing about your research, and learn new writing tips.
Community of Practice: Global Health monthly meetings (Wednesdays) starting Jan 23, 2019. 12-1PM.  Dal Global Health is establishing a Community of Practice for Global Health, designed to work with faculty, students and staff towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with a focus on improving health outcomes globally.
Dr. Rebecca Tiessen: Ethical Considerations for International Volunteers and Interns  Jan 23, 2019. 5:30-7PM. Rowe Bldg. Rm. 1014. Dr. Tiessen is University Chair in Teaching and Professor in the School of International Development and Global Studies at the University of Ottawa. Her research explores gender equality and development, foreign aid and the role and impact of international aid workers in partner countries.
Black Research Symposium
Feb. 8 & 9, 2019.  Dalhousie University.  A two-day event showcasing Black scholars and research on Black issues conducted in the community from all disciplines.
IPHE Mini Course: Exploring Global Health Through Cultural Humility
Feb & Mar 2019 (4 modules).  Dalhousie University.  This mini course will introduce students to foundational competencies in global health education, such as the global burden of disease, human rights and equity, and the related concept and practice of One Health.
Indigenous Health: Kitpu Wise March Break Health Science Camp
Application Deadline: Feb. 22, 2019.  Camp Dates: March 18-22, 2019. Dalhousie University.  Indigenous youth (aged 15-18) are invited to the Dalhousie campus for a week of hands on exposure to clinical health education programs and cultural experiences.

Nomination Deadline: Mar 4, 2019.  The Global Health Awards were established to recognize the outstanding contribution made to the global health community by our Medical faculty and residents as well as students in Medicine, Health and Dentistry. Nominate someone today!

Submission Deadline: Mar 4, 2019.  Do you have outstanding photos that tell a compelling story about your global health experience?  Each year we host the Global Health Photo Contest to recognize these beautiful images and inspiring stories.  This contest is open to students, residents, faculty and staff at Dalhousie.  Submit today!
