2016 African Heritage Month

February 2016. Various events and venues. Please join the many individuals and offices at Dalhousie who will be presenting throughout the month.

2016 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships

Application deadline: Fri. Feb 5, 2016.  Senior Undergraduate Students (3rd or 4th year) are invited to submit an application to participate in this international program for the summer of 2016.  Please submit an application with the Global Health Office.

Call for Presentations: Inaugural Celebration of Humanities Conference 2016

Abstract Deadline Extended: Sun. Feb 7, 2016. Conference Dates: May 6-8, 2016. Dalhousie University, Halifax NS.  Undergraduates, graduate students, residents and Health Professions Faculty from across Canada are invited to submit an abstract for an oral or a poster presentation on any aspect of the humanities in the health professions.

Global Health Rounds: Nova Scotia Brotherhood Initiative

Wed. Feb 10, 2016. @ 5 - 6pm. Halifax Tupper G36; Saint John Rm. 221, Miramichi Rm. 3111. Health & Wellness of African Nova Scotian Men. The Nova Scotia Brotherhood Initiative (NSBI) is a community based health initiative that focuses on providing cultural and gender specific care to African Nova Scotian Men.

Pre-Departure Training Sessions 2016

Saturdays, Feb 22, Mar 5 & 26, 2016 @ 9 am - 3:30 pm.  Halifax: Tupper G36; Saint John: Rm. 218. Are you a Dalhousie student in Health Professions, Dentistry or Medicine planning an education experience abroad? All students participating in international electives are required to complete the training.
2016 Global Health Photo Contest

Submission deadline: March 1, 2016. We are now accepting submissions for the 2016 global health photo contest. Do you have outstanding photos that tell a compelling story about your global health experience?

2016 Global Health Awards

Submission deadline: March 1, 2016.  We are now accepting nominations for our Global Health Awards (Faculty, Resident, Student). Recognizing outstanding contribution to the global health community at Dalhousie.

Dalhousie Global Health and the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health invite you to this public lecture. Dr. Ryan Meili is the Executive Director of Upstream and a family doctor in Saskatoon. Other guest speakers to be added.
