People are increasingly talking about de-risking a mine as an important part of attracting investor dollars. What does de-risking mean in an inherently risky business such as mining? The talk will look at the various types of risk, how to assess it and how it is used in decision making.
Diana Sollner is an MBA with 25 years’ experience as a professional engineer consulting in the mining industry. She solves 4-dimensional problems in heavy industries (mining, forestry and power production). An engineer and a businesswoman, Diana integrates engineering and environmental with business processes. Her project briefs include greenfield development, problem identification & solution, waste/wastewater management planning and mine closure.
Please bring (used or new) clothes to donate to My Sister's Closet. Revenue generated from the sales of clothing helps fund violence prevention and intervention services operated by Battered Women’s Support Services which support over 11,000 women every year.
Monetary donations are also accepted at the event and online.
Celebrate the holiday season with fellow women in mining and show your support for charity!
